Temple Beth Israel is Altoona, Pennsylvania's Reform Jewish Congregation. Founded at the turn of the last century, Temple Beth Israel has been an active part of the Altoona and greater Jewish community for nearly 100 years.

We welcome all into our Temple family and strive hard to meet the needs of each of our members –singles, couples, families with children of all ages, “empty nesters” and older congregants. Our approach is creative and inclusive. We invite you to experience Judaism at every level of comfort and interest. Temple Beth Israel is also committed to Jewish outreach and welcome interfaith couples as an integral part of our Temple family.
